Midsummer Mindful Mile, Newcastle Quayside

Midsummer Mindful Mile

Sunday 19th June, Newcastle quayside, 8pm

Mindful Therapies is committed to offering affordable subsidised classes and courses within as many communities as possible.
On Midsummer night come and join us for a sponsored mindful walk to raise funds to support these classes.

The event takes place on Newcastle/ Gateshead quayside. We will be walking for just one mile. Sounds easy? Well we will be walking slowly and mindfully, noticing and appreciating our surroundings, and stopping regularly for mini meditations. This means that the mile will take around an hour and a half! Not so easy after all?

Places are limited and we ask for a minimum sponsorship of £10 to take part. However, the participant who raises the most money will win a prize.

For more information and sponsorship pack please email info@mindfultherapies.org.uk

All money raised will be used to continue delivering donation based and low cost classes and counselling services to those in need:

Drop in classes

Mindful Therapies runs a variety of weekly drop-in classes that range in price from donation-based upwards. These are suitable for people experiencing mild-moderate mental health difficulties or for those wishing to improve their general sense of wellbeing. A full calendar of regular classes can be found here. If you are unsure of the suitability of a class for a particular service user then please get in touch by emailing rachel@mindfultherapies.org.uk.

Counselling Services

Mindful Therapies also runs a low cost mindful counselling service. This service takes place in Newcastle City Centre. Counselling is provided for individuals experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties. Sessions are donation based with a suggested donation of £5 per session off peak (9am-5pm Monday-Friday) or £10 per session peak (evenings and weekends).
