A Busy Week at the Resilience Hub
Come and see what we’re all about.
This week at the Resilience Hub is a busy one, with two opportunities to get involved, another date for your diary, and an important update about booking onto classes.
Whether you already come along regularly, or you have been meaning to visit for the first time, this is a lovely week to find out more about what happens at Mindful Therapies.
Consultation Coffee
Friday 3rd July, 3pm to 4pm
The Resilience Hub is growing, and we want to make sure we are creating something that genuinely meets the needs of our community.
Come along for an informal coffee, a chat and the chance to share your ideas.
We would love to hear:
- What activities have you enjoyed?
- What would you like to see next?
- What would encourage you to use the centre more often?
There are no presentations or formal meetings, just tea, coffee and conversation.
Saturday Social: A Day of Tasters
Saturday 4th July, 10am to 2:15pm
If you have ever wondered what happens at the Mindful Therapies Centre, this is the perfect opportunity to find out.
Throughout the day, we will be offering short tasters of some of our most popular activities, including:
- Mindful Movement and Seated Yoga
- Introduction to Mindfulness
- Guided Meditation
- Words of Others
- Laughter Therapy
- Body Scan Meditation
Come for one session or stay for the whole day. Everyone is welcome.
This is also a great opportunity to spread the word and tell your friends. If you know anyone who might be interested in finding out more, please let them know. The more people we reach, the more we can help.
Another Date for Your Diary
If you cannot make Saturday, do not worry.
We are already planning another Taster Afternoon on:
Wednesday 15th July, 1pm to 6pm
We will be sharing more details soon, but we would love you to save the date.
Why We Ask You to Book
You may have noticed that we have recently updated our booking system.
Although many of our sessions are offered on a donation basis, it is really helpful if you book in advance. Booking lets us know how many people to expect, helps us prepare the space, and ensures we can continue to plan activities that meet the needs of our community.
A Different Way of Paying
At Mindful Therapies, we believe that cost should not be a barrier to wellbeing.
Rather than charging a fixed price for many of our community sessions, we offer a range of booking options so you can choose what feels right for you.
- Free Ticket: If money is tight at the moment, you are very welcome to attend free of charge.
- £1 Nominal Contribution: Helps us cover the cost of refreshments.
- £3 Small Donation: Helps contribute towards room hire and running costs.
- £5 Pay It Forward: This is the suggested donation and helps us keep future classes affordable and accessible for everyone.
This approach allows those who are able to contribute a little more to support those who may not be able to contribute at all. We think that is a lovely reflection of the kind of community we are trying to build.
If you are a UK taxpayer, many of our sessions are also eligible for Gift Aid, meaning your donation could be worth 25% more at no extra cost to you.
Thank you for helping us create a mindfulness community where everyone is welcome.
